| Somewhere (on ArcaBook feed?) I read "Clients may request either the binary or FAST compacted data feed" Can you point to info on each and compare them. Also, are these available for all feeds? (if not for which) |

The table for NYSE Arca at the page linked below compares the feeds in terms of bandwidth between binary and FAST. The recipient's design choice usually comes down to bandwidth (FAST saves bandwidth) versus the computation time penalty to decompress the data (you need to decompress FAST).
