I am trying to determine what "THE TOTAL DOLLAR VOLUME" for the NYSE is for any given year? In other words I would like to know how many dollars are spent purchasing stock (a good estimate would suffice) in any given year. I am also interested in obtaining the TDV for all other exchanges & commodities markets in this country.
