Why are the symbols on OpenBook different than the ones I receive on the CTA Feed?
Body:
Posted By Ariel on 11/02/2006 10:16 AM OpenBook like other NYSE data products use what we call NYSE "Host" format. That is the internal symbol format that is used in the NYSE. When the symbols go out on the CTA feed, a "line" format is used which is slightly different than then NYSE Host format in that it uses a forward slash to separate a suffix from the symbol whereas the NYSE Host format uses only a space. To view a mapping of the two formats, please view our NYSE Symbology Document. NYSE Symbology Document
