   NYSE Amex Short Interest

The NYSE Amex Short Interest File is a semi-monthly file that contains the reported uncovered short positions of NYSE listed securities.

The Short Interest data file contains the reported uncovered short positions of Amex-listed securities (Issues & Derivatives). Since September 2007, it is published twice monthly and includes the ETF and HOLDRS End-of-Month Short Interest information. As of June 30, 2008, there is a new Short Interest reporting schedule for Amex Securities. Users are able to download all Amex Short Interest Files by month (available from January 1995). To distinguish the files, the first monthly file will be named ShortIntIssA_YYYYMM.TXT, and the second file will be ShortIntIssB_YYYYMM.TXT. File descriptions and definitions are provided in the Data Fields Definitions. Publication dates are provided in the Amex Short Interest Calendar.
