[1] Trade Date - Discontinued as of July 10,2008 release date. NYSE now receives the data from FINRA and not an internal regulatory department. FINRA do not use trade date, files will be referenced using settlement date going forward. For reference to data prior to 7/10/08 release date, trade date is the final day of trading that short interest is calculated by NYSE Member Firms
[2] Settlement Date - Positions are reported as of settlement date.
[3] Due Date - The date Member Firms are required to report short interest positions.
[4] Release Date - The date that aggregate Short Interest position for each security is made available to the public.
